Mary Kaye Pepperman

AN EXPERIENCED LEADER WITH A PASSION FOR EDUCATION

Hello my name is Mary Kaye Pepperman and I am excited to announce that I am running for Fulton County School Board. I believe our schools are the heart of our community! I have spent nearly three decades raising four children and volunteering for Fulton County Schools. I am proud to have served as PTA/PTO president at the elementary and high school level. I have also been a business leader who has built companies from the ground up. I have the right blend of experience needed to bridge the gap between classroom success and real world readiness.

STAY CONNECTED

Mary Kaye Pepperman and Family

I’m a mother, an entrepreneur, and an educator – let me put my experience to work for you and your family.

My husband Scott and I have called this community home for nearly three decades, raising our four children (Ryan, Katie, Colby, and Kyle) in Pennbrooke and Windward. For 35 years, I have navigated the complexities of corporate America in sales, management, and recruitment. I know what it takes to build something from the ground up, having started three successful companies from inception to profitability. Over the last 15 years, I have pivoted that business expertise back to my roots, focusing on Higher Education and K-5 initiatives.

As the daughter of an educator, I have a deep respect for the classroom and the hard-working teachers and administrators who help our students thrive. My father served as a teacher, a principal, and a Professor of Educational Leadership – his example inspired me to take a proactive role in my children’s education and to stand for exceptional schools in our community.

I have served as PTA/PTO President at Creekview Elementary, Lake Windward Elementary, and Alpharetta High School. My time on the AHS Foundation and the LSU Parent Council, combined with teaching religious education at St. Benedict and St. Brigid, has given me a complete perspective on what our students, teachers, and parents need to succeed.

ISSUES

KEEP TAXES LOW AND MAXIMIZE EVERY DOLLAR

I will apply my 35 years of business leadership experience to ensure that student and teachers benefit from every tax dollar spent, without asking for a greater commitment from taxpayers.

KEEP CLASSROOMS FOCUSED

I support a “Bell-to-Bell” distraction-free learning environment and a return to the fundamentals of literacy and math to ensure all students have a competitive edge.

KEEP OUR SCHOOLS SAFE

I will support using the latest technology and best procedures to keep students and teachers safe and will give our Fulton Schools Police the resources they need to protect the hallways of our schools.

PRIORITIZE CAREER READINESS

Leveraging my professional background in recruitment, I will expand partnerships with Georgia industries to ensure every graduate—whether college or career-bound—possesses high-demand, tangible skills.
